We have been toying with the idea of interviewing our HAH family for a while now, and recently we sat down with Jessica, one of our wonderful Client Service Representatives to chat!
How long have you been with HAH?
What was it like for you when you started here?
It was something completely different for me. I have never worked in this type of environment before. I had only worked in retail or fast food before this.
What would you say you have learned in your 3 years with HAH?
I have become more comfortable with being able to talk with people.
You can be in some intense situations. One of the hardest things for us is when someone is saying goodbye to their pet. You are usually the first person they see when they come in, and the last person they see when they come out. How do you manage that?
It’s important to be sympathetic to what our clients are going through. I think it’s important to try to connect with our clients. It’s all about respect. We want clients to know we are there for them and their pets. It’s a tough time.
What do you enjoy about the people you work with?
We all help one another out in different situations. When things are busy, we have one another’s backs.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
When people are really concerned about their pets, and when I can help them get to a doctor and help solve the problem. I feel good that I could help someone get here and be seen.
Do you have any pets?
They aren’t allowed where I live.
Doesn’t that make you sad?
When you can have pets, what do you want to have?
A boxer because that was my first dog. I think they are cute, nice, and have huge personalities!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to ty local restaurants, I like to read, and I like four wheeling.
What are some of the restaurants that you’ve tried that you like?
I like the Cracked Pillar and Spring House Tavern. There are a lot of others too, but those are my current favorites.
If someone turned on the radio in your truck, what would be playing?
Probably country, but I like a lot of music! It depends on the day and my mood.
What book are you reading right now?
I like the Jack Reacher series.
What keeps you coming back?
The free food(just kidding)! I like learning new things, and feel like I am always learning something new.
